Bearing witness. Encyclopedia of Trauma 2012

Bearing witness is to tell a sacred truth, which even if unpalatable, has to be told for the sake of humanity. The Holocaust has added a new dimension to this mission. The current corona virus crisis has been likened to World War Two. For many child survivors of the Holocaust the crisis has indeed triggered memories and feelings from those times.
